Brought the camera to the car with me this morning, decided to snap a few macros of some snow before the heat melted it off of the windshield. Snow is an amazing, beautiful thing…..but I’m not quite ready to appreciate winter after being in warm Cambodia for five weeks, LOL.

The girls and I decided to have some fun this afternoon, so we ripped open our last 3 pumpkins, pulled the seeds out and prepared them to be cooked for a nice snack.

Marla and I got back from her speaking engagements this weekend, and it hasn’t been simple to adjust back to the hustle of our schedule with the girls. She spoke a bit on the 5 Love Languages this past weekend, and even though hers isn’t “gifts”, I decided to bring her home some flowers. Glad they cheered her up!

Two friends really helped us out this evening, one of the two evenings this fall where all three girls have soccer games at the same time. The seven of us hung out after the games and ended up figuring out what I could shoot for today’s photo. Any guess as to what this object is?

Pastel jelly beans

A friend brought over some pastel jelly beans tonight for our church’s small group that meets at our place. Seemed to be a simple shot after a full evening, and not much of a chance to shoot anything during the day today.

An eye for photography

Our oldest daughter let me shoot a macro shot of her eye tonight. Our goal was to try to keep me in her pupil, with the light and umbrella behind me. Not bad for a first time, but I might re-visit this later.

Bright flower at Inniswood Metro Gardens

After church today the girls were going to play games and Marla was ready to read and take an afternoon nap. I decided to head out to Blendon Woods Metro Park and Inniswood Metro Gardens (where I got this shot) and take the camera along. This is a macro shot that ended up the most interesting.
