My parents still had the girls today, so Marla agreed to be my first “real model” in a photo shoot with my new AlienBees B800 light (used softbox for this shot). You can see a few more photos from the shoot over here on my blog. I’m pretty happy for the first attempt at using lights in a “real shoot”. Looking forward to the next one already!

I’ve got my eyes on the boys already. This was my first portrait with a simple setup using the SB-400 flash and a plastic lid to redirect the light. Not sure I’m ready to get nice lights and get into portraits quite yet!
