
Went for a quick 30 minute walk behind the house tonight and was able to get within an inch of this guy. They fly so fast – I wasn’t sure I’d be able to get a clear enough shot. The depth of field is probably a bit too narrow, but I guess it works!

I don’t know how in the world you find these bugs and then get them to sit still long enough for a photo. You amaze me.
Love the very shallow DOF. Great composition, too. Well done! I might have to look into getting some of those extension tubes.
I agree with Justin, I like the shallow DOF. Sure, ideally you might want it just a tad deeper, but this guy’s not going to just sit and wait for you adjust it. GREAT SHOT!
