The day is finally here! It’s been fun saving up for a little while to finally jump up from the entry level Nikon D50 to the mid level Nikon D7000. The camera is in some serious demand, with most buyers having to wait until Christmas because it’s on back-order. I actually placed an order with Best Buy (who said it would ship to store this weekend), but had to cancel after getting an email that pushed the ship date back a few weeks. My friend Ben Simon let me know that Midwest Photo Exchange here in town had a few in stock. Luckily I called yesterday, because by the end of the day all 12 of theirs were gone. Thankfully they were kind enough to hold one back for me until after work today! You can see some sample pics and 1080p HD video shot with the camera from Chase Jarvis here. Looking forward to tomorrow’s photo, the first on this site taken with the D7000.
